Lines

Lines is a real-time audiovisual interactive installation. Driven by a set of rules for graphical generation and randomness, a customized software proposes a set of visual compositions that are created in real time and can be modified through interaction generating musical scores out of the graphical composition. These scores -and the overall piece- take inspiration in traditional graphic musical notation, which gained prominence among 20th century composers and allowed music to be freed from tones, measures, and the rigidity of classical staves. Lines is a synaesthetic exercise that digs upon the question of what sensorial translation could be like.
