Gute Laune / Empty your mind Teknik and Fugaza – The Rave Prod. Project The interdisciplinary artist Niklas Apfel develops an overall concept of two figures in collaboration at a time when collaboration was difficult to realise: Teknik and Fugaza. The two freely invented identities are formed through textile printing, costume, sound, dance movement, video and urban scenery. Participants in the video develop an audiovisual language that works off the subculture of techno. Apfel's prints function as a link between subject and techno signatures and demand close cooperation from all involved: screen printing on fabric, fabric becomes clothing and frock. Clothes that sway to sound on two bodies. Tekno twitches in the fog between concrete, Fugaza raves amidst fluttering plastic sails and lift charm. During fast BPM, technique and fugaza can be observed in long scenes: Booming, dancing, posturing. Two figures form "The Rave Prod. Project". The figure Teknik was created in winter semester 20/21 as a work for the seminar "Gute Laune", by Prof. Fons Hickmann. The second figure Fugaza was created in summer semester 2021 as a bachelor thesis in the class of Prof. Fons Hickmann.
