Fragments of decay

Anna Lioka

Fragments of decay is an audiovisual installation that consists of field recordings of different destroyed found materials and visuals that are AI generated. The main atmosphere consists of the cracking noise of the falling trees as well as the noise of the forest. These small events of the trees and the wind are getting to a dialogue with two more events, a wall that its upper skin is falling apart and fragments of glasses being smashed. Small grains of sound are created; the sand of the wall, the smaller parts of the glasses, the trees that are breaking slowly through time into smaller pieces, and the leaves moving by the wind. These grains are echoes, fragments of a slow decay, a decay that only the forest listens to.
