The album is a collaboration between Young Thug and his label mate Gunna. Following Young Thug’s habit of calling his followers "slimes", the slime is also the focus in terms of design. A Transparent Record is hollow inside and filled with green liquid, so not only is the musical metaphorical content but also the physical content of the record "Slime".
