The Carnal Crypt, 2021 Single Channel Video + Sound A re-imagination of the gay sauna as a crypt, i.e. a site for spiritual contemplation and archaeological excavation. Where pre-modern sentiments clash with contemporary ideals, where the mundane fuses with the divine, it is hoped that I can open up the audience’s imagination as to how a gay sauna could continue to thrive and offer a glimpse into how homosexuality could adapt and evolve.
