The Eigenmode Research Lab is designed towards the exploration of frequency responses of oscillating systems, to develop an understanding and to use these phenomenons in future projects. Nine DC-Motors with weighted offsets, elevated by a net of rubber bands, create a complex system. Every motor performs randomized frequency sweeps while actuating and getting actuated by all neighbored motors, creating unique compositions of interference, cancellation and spontaneous synchronization.
